That’s just one of the great tips from a new article on NetworkWorld. Usually I find articles like this and they have a few ok tips and then a lot that are off the wall. This one however was perfect the whole way through. I couldn’t have given better advice myself. If you are virtualized or thinking on going virtual then you need to take 10 minutes and go read this article now.

Do you know VirtualBox? What are the main differences between these two softwares? They both deal with virtualization. I somehow felt the lack of VirtualBox odd.

Well, considering the article was talking mostly about server/datacenter consolidation I'm not surprised to see Virtual Box missing. They're pretty new to the market, haven't gained much traction yet, and really don't have a solid offering for the datacenter. I know the SUN people will get on here and argue with all of that but customer numbers don't show anything different from what I'm saying. It will be an interesting one to watch but right now it's lumped in there with “others” when looking at market share.
